As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Please do your research on this school first. The bad reviews are spot on. The teachers here are very unprofessional. Ended up pulling my child from here and going to another local school! Close Quote

Open Quote The administration at Wellington is a bunch of bullies. If your child doesn't act like a little automaton droid, they are singled out and labeled as trouble makers. They are given office referrals for the most menial "infractions" not limited to but including rough housing with friends. If your child has already been labeled a trouble maker and is seen rough housing, your child will be sent to the office while the other one suffers no consequences. The punishments dealt out are not equal.

They staff doesn't seem to care what kind of message they are sending these kids, or what kind of long-term damage they are doing by labeling and bullying the kids who are supposed to be in their care. The bottom line is the school staff is lazy and would rather kick your kid out of school than deal with them in a loving, caring, respectful manner. They also have no thought or caring for the parents who have to constantly miss work because the administration is too lazy to do their jobs.

The school touts that they follow the Love and Logic program, but I have yet to see it. Particularly when it comes to having your child solve their own problems in a way that does not make problems for anyone else. How does kicking children out of school not cause a problem for anyone else? Further, how is sending them home a punishment? They get out of school, and even if they have to do chores, it is far more fun for them than dealing with the bullying staff.

This school does not encourage children to think for themselves. They do not encourage your child to be an individual. They want them all to act like little robots and conform at all times. If you want to raise a child to be a successful adult who doesn't need someone to hold their hand through life and make decisions for them, this school is not for them.

I had heard bad things about this school and the administration before placing my child here. I have coworkers whose children go here and have had the same issues. But I hoped that it wouldn't be as bad as they all said, especially with the accreditation it has. I was WRONG! They only care for their state test scores, not the kids. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
