Open Quote I have never in my life worked at such an irresponsible and discouraging school. The administration there does not build up it's teachers but rather tears them down through demeaning words and attitude. They do not encourage or offer support of any kind. It feels as though they want to see you fail. No amount of effort a teacher puts in will ever be enough or reach their level of expectation. Their expectations are far beyond a reasonable capacity. Failing what they expected of you meant you would be chastised and made to feel like less than a human being. I have never been treated so poorly and have never been under such intense stress in my life. No teacher should ever step foot in that building or consider a position there. Do your research thoroughly for any school you intend on going to. Close Quote

Open Quote Teachers are not treated with respect by Administration. They are frequently chastised publicly in front of students. This models disrespectful behavior towards teachers, and it is pervasive. It undermines a teacher's authority, and it shows students that it is acceptable for them to be disrespectful to teachers.

That is not the right example to set for our young learners! Campus culture is very much one of "do as I say, not as I do."

When the teachers feel continuously disrespected by Administration, it affects their ability to remain positive in the classroom and to continuously give their best. This directly impacts student learning, and not for the better.

Instead of solving the problems of low test scores, Admin is creating bigger problems by creating a divisive atmosphere that is not conducive to teaching and learning. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
