As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote My children DID have some bright spots there (especially an outstanding band director who is an amazing Christian leader for those kiddos), but the shadows of incompetence and self-promotion in that school block out the light. I'm just so sick of teachers who refuse to educate with compassion. High expectations are empty claims if not conducted with humanity and hope. This school is too concerned with outward appearances and C.Y.A. technology fronts. I guess real teaching, with heart and flexibility, is too much work when you're just worried about making your school look good to central office in hopes of a promotion. Just one more day of this craptastic middle school...please, God, just get us to high school and a fresh start. Close Quote

Open Quote Bleyl is an awesome school! Kids are always hugging and high-fiving in the halls. There are lots of clubs and stuff going on after school, even a fashion club. We love our principal, assisant principals, and counselors, and teachers are the best! We all know how important our grades are and the TAKS test! There are lots of pep talks and incentives for us to work hard. I work in the office and it's amazing that the principal knows so many kids by name. If there are some that don't like it, then they won't like anything. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
