Arp Elementary has consistently been ranked in the bottom half of Texas elementary schools, with a ranking between 2,139 and 2,964 out of around 4,500 schools over the past 10 years. The school's academic performance, as measured by STAAR test scores, is generally below the state average across all grade levels and subjects, with proficiency rates in reading and math projected to be around 40-50% in 2024-2025, compared to the state averages of 52-58%. Open Quote Excellent parent/teacher communication. I always know what my child is learning in class and what is improving or needs to be improved. I love the fact that my child will have homework every week and I have the opportunity to be involved in her learning process. My child was enrolled in Tyler ISD and I wasn't even allowed to come to her classroom to check in on things. I never knew what the learning curriculum was and there were just to many students from all over tyler for the teachers to keep up with. Arp ISD has the best teachers and academically this school in my opinion is the best in East Texas. My child improved in so many different areas including her manners. I'm very pleased and want to thank the staff at arp elementary for being the great team they are. I feel they truly care for our kids in the community and want them to succeed. Close Quote
