Open Quote The Agnes Irwin School is an outstanding environment to send your daughter to every day. We looked at several other private schools and nothing else compares. Close Quote

Open Quote We are the parents of a Kindergarten at Agnes Irwin School. At first, we weren't so sure about single-sex education. But as we did more research, including reading Dr. Leonard Sax's books, we realized this is what we wanted for our daughter. Our daughter is now thriving at AIS. She loves her teachers and loves her art, language, music and gym classes she takes every week. The teachers let her develop and explore new areas of learning, while at the same time, challenge and channel her in areas where she already excels. It is also a nurturing environment. It's of to make mistakes as long as she is learning and growing from them. Finally, the school is a community of learners. With the new Center for the Advancement of Girls (CAG), they are really trying to understand at a fundamental level what are the best methods and practices to teach girls in the 21st century.

We love Agnes Irwin. It has been a really good fit for our daughter. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
