Open Quote As a student that is a senior here at NAHS and have been here since 9th grad I can agree that NAHS is definitely one of the worst schools Close Quote

Open Quote Overall, this school sucks. Whole school is dirty besides the main office. All staff does is complain about our school having a bad rep but do nothing about it. Something is always broken whether it’s a stairwell window or mirror or water fountain. Educational material is over a decade old and money is spent on stuff that kids just break anyway like the TVs in the cafeteria that show school propaganda. Fights are very frequent. Pep rallies are boring and uninspired. Nobody respects anybody. Nothing good has or ever will come from this school Close Quote

Open Quote I dont care what anyone says negative about NAHS. This high school is the most diversified, unified high school in the area. Both of my sons went to this high school with no problems. I have interacted with the teachers, counselors, principles, board of directors and I am very impressed!!! Norristown always gets a bad rap, with suburban districts, police, media, etc. Nothing goes on any differently in this school than in any other school. The only difference is when something negative happens in this district, it gets publicized and over dramatized. When something negative happens in other school districts, it is kept hush hush, unless of course there is a shooting spree. My father went to Norristown High, I went to Norristown High, my two sons went to Norristown High (by the way, one went to college is now a staff seargant in the US Army and my younger son is working and going to college for mass communication),. THANK YOU NAHS FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT!!!! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
