As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I'm a student and the school literally babys us and the sk called great principal sacred the kids and makes them feel uncomfortable. He litterly looks us up and down. The science teachers as a whole are not that good. They wont let you go to your lockers during lunch no matter what. For females its hard to deal with monthly problems. The teacher have reduced their bathroom passes to almost non existent and in my math classroom ni matter what I say I wont be allowed to go and plug the flow. This school is basically elementary school with taller kids. Place sucks and offers no support for life, exept maybe making sure that you are accustomed to being the target of bullying. The staff wont do anything if you tell them, but will get made when a pencil is taken, but not by the racial slurs and homophobic language that's spoken all the time. This school deserves less then one star honestly Close Quote

Open Quote My daughter is in 6th grade this year and Alder Creek has been great. We have a new principal, that is wonderful, and the teachers have been amazing. I had heard negative things in the past, so I was worried, but my experience has been very positive. I think middle school is a hard time for kids, so maybe that's where some of the negativity come from. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
