Academic standards and IEP compliance are appalling at this school. If you expect your deaf child to get the same quality of education as a hearing child it is not going to happen. The administrators admit the school is "remedial", as a defense for poor educational standards. There's a reason there is no rating for this school in regards to testing and that is because OSD does not have to follow the same requirements that other schools do in the state, which is not right. The only good thing I can think of is that there are very few students per teacher. If you have the option, take your child elsewhere. Oregon state needs MORE options for deaf and severely hard of hearing students! Close Quote
