As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote My husband and I talked with several lifelong residents of Northwest School District, including an educator that works directly in the school district itself for many years about Taylor Elementary School and not one recommended we send our children to this school. We decided, however, after meeting the teachers that our children would be properly educated. Well, I have bit of an advantage because I am highly involved in my childrens education in writing this evaluation and see the day to day operations at this school. Individualized education is non-existent at this school, meaning if your child does not understand it, the teachers will not sit there individually with your child for him/her to understand it, leaving your child behind. Oh Well! Changing your child's thought control through treating him/her as an adult, rather than understand your working with a child is priority number one at this school. I send my children to school to be educated, not to change their values, personality and thinking. Students at this school walk on pins and needles because they are treated as adults and you think this somehow encourages children that learning is fun. The school administrators at Taylor Elementary School could careless about parents or their concerns and there is only one way right and that is their way. Parents are looked down upon as not knowing what is best for their children at this school, which is unfortunate because if you research how well Taylor Elementary School performs, they are ranked VERY LOW. I could not imagine why? But because our public education system is a monopoly in this country, I have no choice but to send my children to this school, conform, and let things happen just as my children do everyday at this school because of where I live. About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
