As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote My daughter started Kindergarten this year and I have been impressed by the quality of the teachers and staff. My daughter loves going to school every day! Her teacher is responsive to her needs and they even have a GATE program to challenge the kids who need more advanced material. She participates in the Chess Club and other extra curricular activities. The parents are friendly and involved. I think this a gem in our community and more parents should be aware. Close Quote

Open Quote We love this school and community. Our children are receiving and excellent education and are surrounded by children of different races, religions and socio-economic status. The school doesn't have to try and create diversity, it is the epitome of diversity. Love the old neighborhood and the families. My kids participate in Chess Club, Equations, COCA programs and Strings. Close Quote

Open Quote My daughter has had difficulties at other schools with her work and grade levels. I knew it was because she was not applying herself and just did not care to. When i enrolled her at Flynn Park Elementary the principal took the time to meet with me and listen to the problems i have with my daughter she personally hand picked the teacher she thought would be best for her, then we met with that teacher as well. Since she has been attending this school her grades have improved tremendously. I could not be more pleased go figure a school and teachers that actually care about the students that is rare these days! my second daughter is now being tested for their G.A.T.E talented and gifted program. I LOVE THIS SCHOOL! highly recommend it for any future students that parents are looking to enroll. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
