As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote My son just started KG in the Montessori program. He is so excited about going to school every day. The teachers are amazing, so calm and somehow they give each child the attention they need. My son has a short attention span so I am grateful he does not have to sit and be bored in a chair all day. They have different stations to work at and the children move around to each station completeing their work at their own pace, but are accountable to get it all done. You have the benefits of a large school (special teachers- gifted and talented, speech, etc.) but small school classrooms which works well. I would love for Montessori to be its own school with ability to have more students but that may not be possible in the near future. Being in a larger school has it challenges as well. He has seen bullying in the school but I do know that Franklin has done a great job of trying to combat bullying, they address it and work with families/students they do not take a backseat to issues. The administration is friendly and accommodating. Being choice school means that my son can attend even though we live all the way across town (busing included) but you must apply for lottery. If you want this school apply- it is amazing to be chosen to go here! More schools need to adapt this method. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
