Open Quote Small class sizes and leveling students by ability makes STRIDE a great school. Close Quote

Open Quote As a parent, I love the individual attention my child gets in a small class. I also appreciate that the kids are tested regularly to assess their individual knowledge and learning capabilities; this keeps them at them at the grade-levels that will most challenge and benefit the kids. My child is learning a so much (more, I dare say than many of her peers in other St Cloud schools)and having a lot of fun in the process. There is also a great sense of community at Stride and parents are made to feel very welcome and involved in the classroom and all aspects of the school. Stride Academy is like a top-notch private school without the expense! Close Quote

Open Quote My grandson began attending Stride Academy in August and he is thrilled with his education there. As a middle school educator who taught in the Hopkins school district I was concerned that Duncan was not being challenged to any degree. He is now so happy and wrote me soon after he began that he really liked his new school and was learning things he never knew. This concerned me and when I saw him I asked him what he had done in his previous school and he said, "Oh, I taught the other children>" I feel that now he is receiving challenges each day. Thank you for providing this for him. I feel he has a bright future at Stride Academy.

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
