As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote The best example that you cannot believe any "official" ratings. We moved to Weymouth last year, and at the beginning were assigned to some different school, which is rated as "the best in Weymouth" (just because we speak different language at home). So, we were invited to attend introductory session at the "best rated school", and later, suddenly (!), informed that our kid's English exam results are too good & we must bring our child to the primary school in our district (Thomas V. Nash). What immediately did catch my eye was the classroom - it is much bigger and equipped as a minimized Science Museum (huge difference comparing with what I saw in "the best school" - that one was much smaller and looked like a regular daycare). Finally, the location and floor plan of the building was much more spacious and logical. As our kid now has been attending the full day Kindergarten for a while, I have many observations of how wonderful is her teacher. Mrs. Linda Casserly is a diamond and a real treasure!!!! Words are unable to describe how awesome she is. Very intelligent and beautiful woman, who knows how to motive the kids to learn, to do their homework and have fun researching & studying. We shared that with our friends who raised their kids in the towns, which usually are known as having the "elite schools". All of the friends kept repeating that we are unbelievably lucky, no one had teacher like this in the kindergarten many of them and very often are complaining that their kids starting from the Kindergarten hate homework and studying anything new, etc. I do believe that is true because I know the children. We are very grateful for this wonderful gift in our lives. Mrs.Casserly is not the kind of teacher that just gives the information and fulfills your child like a dish she is a kind of teacher that lights up your child from inside and motivates to learn. How she does that is just mysterious. My kid calls her WONDERFUL and it is totally true!!!! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
