As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Both of my sons attend Cold Hill Elementary. I did a lot of research before I chose a school for my boys. I was impressed by the test scores at this school before my kids started going there. I now have a 3rd grader and a 4th grader attending Cold Hill. They both love school. They enjoy the learning environment and the teachers and staff at Cold Hill are exceptional . They go above and beyond to ensure every child has the same opportunity for learning . My youngest son has food allergies as well as ADD. The staff at Cold Hill have made sure he has the same opportunity to learn as the other students without making him feel singled out because of his differences. The principal has a unique rapport with all the students. He maintains order but at the same time it is evident he cares for the students. All the students at Cold Hill love him! I wouldn't choose anywhere else for my boys to go to school. Thanks Cold Hill team ! Keep up the good work! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
