Summary

Auburndale Elementary is a public elementary school in Louisville, Kentucky, serving 580 students in grades PK-5. The school is part of the Jefferson County school district, which is ranked 140 out of 157 districts in the state and has a 1-star rating from SchoolDigger.

Auburndale Elementary has consistently ranked in the bottom half of Kentucky elementary schools, with a 0-2 star rating from SchoolDigger. The school's academic performance is significantly below the state averages, with only 19-34% of students proficient or better in reading and 27-33% proficient in math, compared to 34-50% and 43-44% statewide, respectively. While nearby schools in the Jefferson County district, such as Gutermuth, Stonestreet, and Jacob Elementary, also perform poorly, a few schools like Kenwood and Fairdale Elementary demonstrate relatively stronger academic achievement. Open Quote This school is a wonderful school for the students and their family. We transferred here after problems in our neighborhood school. My son and my family have been made to feel very welcomed by the Principal and the staff. The school is super clean and the outside is well maintained. So many activities for the kids and the entire family. The Teachers are wonderful, with great care taken for those students who need extra help and for those who are above and beyond their grade level. The Teachers and the staff take part in many of the activities and the PTA IS AWESOME. I wish we would of started my son in this school for Kindergarten. I am looking forward to his remaining 4 years here. I like the system of discipline and rewards, with the rewards being a group effort. My son and my family are as happy as we can be.
