Open Quote Horrible, not safe, staff that is not professional at all! The only thing that helped this school was the parents in PTO that put on amazing events for the children and raised the school money. Sadly though the school principal was so worried about these parents doing such a good job he sent nasty emails, told lies, went to the superintendents and started fights in PTO meetings. In the end the principal divided the school, ignored children being physically bullied, joined his staff gossiping on facebook about parents and children in a negative way, and when asked about the nurse overdosing the children his answer was, Well she has too many children to overlook, so accidents happen. It's very sad to know this kind of stuff happens at an elementary! None of mine children will ever go back there or to any Center Grove schools! I have been in the hospital with my child 7x bc of the school!!! Police reports have beenmade on the school,CPS has been called on the school and it's realy ugly what parents have been through. It's very sad that so many children have been hurt and suffer bc of the school principal and his actions. It was shocked when I heard therre are many more parents at the school who are dealing with the same things. If you want what's best for your child don't take them to North Grove or ANY Center Grove schools!! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
