As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote This school used to be good, but over the last decade, it has taken a terrible turn. Students will tell you that they do NOT feel prepared for college. Teachers are not allowed to grade effort, participation, or homework and they must give students second and third chances on assessments. As a result, Students are developing bad habits. They do not try their best, they wait to the last minute, they do not do the homework or pay attention in class. Attendance is atrocious with students skipping class with impunity. Even students who get caught cheating on a test are given a second chance to take the test. All of this goofy grading stresses students out. Those students who do care about their grades feel it is unfair and also find it frustrating that they don't know what their grade is all semester. There have been multiple suicides over the last several years. Admin refuses to listen to teacher concerns. Many veteran teachers are stepping down from the roles as club sponsors and coaches and even retiring early. Check the 5 essentials data and the School satisfaction survey data and you will see these sad trends reflected there. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
