As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote This school just went viral across the states (I heard about it in South Carolina) for playground bullying, fights, and lack of proper intervention. Back when I was in Meridian, I only ever heard bad word about this school on the lines of children recieving less than standard supervision and care. For letting a kid be tackled by four others and beaten until his face is bloody, I wish I could give 0 stars. Close Quote

Open Quote This school is a joke. They run the playground like a prison camp and the kids are being yelled at all the time with all the crazy rules they have in place. My 4th graders teacher is so mean that my kid comes home crying at night. I will be looking for another school for my kids.

Now with that said I do have another child in Kindergarten and she loves it and has one of the best teachers I have ever seen (and I volunteer in her class) and continue to be amazed by her.

However when you take in consideration the school as a whole I would say think twice before you send you kids here. Your kids will end up not wanting to go to school everyday.

Before my daugter moved here she loved going to school and I would get emails from her teachers at what a pleasure my daugter was to have in class. Now well lets just say it is the opposite.

Consider yourself warned,
A frusterated parent. Close Quote

Open Quote I am very happy with the teachers and the job that they do. However, the administration runs the entire school like a Nazi-camp! If you want your child to enjoy recess, lunch, and any activity outside of the class room you should look elsewhere. Too many rules and regulations for an elementary school. I wish they would let the kids be kids! Many kids and parents in my neighborhood feel likewise. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
