Open Quote I love the compassion and thirst for student achievement. I have not met any one individual at McGarity without a smile on their face and a genuine desire to help at any given moment.

I just want to say thank you to all of the staff members for your helping my grandson feel comfortable and accepted. That alone allows for an environment that promotes the desire to learn. Close Quote

Open Quote i spent 5 years at McGarity Elementary back in the 90's.
I wouldn't have wanted to spend my time anywhere else.
With the help of Rod Seizmore, I was able to meet, and exceed what i originally thought I was worth.
Couch Davis Didn't only worry about keeping you fit, but also was their to talk to when needed.
The guidance counselors that helped me through personal, as well as, educational issues.
All the teachers cared as a hole, and I for one remember being very happy.
I hope the courtyard is still green, and I hope the bear sculpted by a chainsaw still stands their. That was cool to watch.
I hope the Principal will still kiss a pig as debt for good grades :)
I hope that the baseball field still gets plenty of good use, and above all I hope that the passion for the children and their future has grown from what was already an amazing, and caring school.

Sincerely
Christopher Allen Wooten Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
