Open Quote Not sure about the safety of the school buses. Kid was just detained for bringing a fixed blade knife on the bus. He pulled the knife on another student during an argument. Close Quote

Open Quote I love this school. I've had no problem, so far and my son is in 8th grade. The Orchestra program is phenomenonal. There doesn't seem to be enough parents involved and very few volunteer. I think my son is getting a good education and the environment seems to be a good one. I would recommend this district to other parents, it is the reason we moved to Henry County. Close Quote

Open Quote This school does nothing about bullying. They don't have the textbooks the children need, and they seem to want to enforce rules on some kids and bypass them for others. If you know the right people and kiss up alot your child will do well. If you are a busy working parent and want your children to take responsibility for their own schoolwork don't send your children here. They will be bullied by kids as well as teachers..especially if your child does not go to church 2-3 times a week. Then they are called heathens. Be warned. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
