Open Quote Poor system and individual school for special education services. Take your child and money out of this system if they require services!! Beware. Close Quote

Open Quote The first mistake was to buy a house in this school district, what a joke. I would never place my child in this school. I went in to inquire as to what they teach in the 8th grade, The counselor could only answer that they teach according to the guidelines given by the state. As I was sitting in her office in front of her desk, She decided that it was time for her manicure, Talking to me and clipping her finger nails at the same time( You could say that she was "MULTI-TASKED" I found this to be so unprofessional and gross, holding back my puke, I managed to ask if there is any type of reference material available for each subject taught, According to her "the guidance counselor", There are no books and no online support, If your child doesn't understand what the teacher is trying to teach your child is SOL.
If you read other reviews you will see that the only help that your child will receive is from classmates.... Gee I hope that classmate giving the course instructions on how to complete the assignment truly understands the subject at hand or your child will receive the same failing grade.
I am very disappointed in the school and the board of education for allowing this type of teaching, The 1,000's that I pay in property and school tax every year and the money received from the Georgia lottery, you would figure that they could afford a $20.00 book or an online accessible book for your child's reference that will help them achieve a better or passing grade.
After talking with the counselor, I quickly came to the conclusion that teachings are directed by Morons and inept counselors creating a stultifying effect of this compulsory school system leaving us with no other choice other than private, I hold each and every one that is sitting on the board of education accountable for this failing school and the way our kids are being taught, we need to stand up and get rid of all of them and start fresh- even if it takes creating a new city just to get rid of them all at once, I am all for it.
No, I will not place my child in this failing Dutchtown school that is run by imbeciles. What a disappointment, Good luck to all that have placed their child in this puerile run Dutchtown school. When your kid graduates, Just remember "McDonald's is always hiring". Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
