Open Quote Ignore the fact that one parent thinks nothing of the female teachers at Minor. Most of these teachers are extremely effective, caring, smart, and understanding and as a parent of a Minor student from Kindergarten to 5th grade I have seen MALE teachers come and go by their own choice. I doubt men are lining up at the door to apply for a job with this school or ANY elementary school. What a ridiculous review!

This is a great school. I hope the wonderful education this parents child is getting isn't overshadowed by the parents complete utter ignorance. Gender equality? Please give me a break! Close Quote

There is great male/female teacher ratio discrepancy at minor needing attention and corrective action. The gender ratio need to be closed. Although gender may not effect how "much" a child learns, more importantly it will effect "what" it learn in the class. For one thing, not to addressing this form of disparity in a learning institution clearly, fly in the face of its teaching and promoting gender equality role in society.

There should be clearly written rules of engagement regarding separated parents and how the school legally is directed to handle. Separated parents rights are not being consistently and evenhandedly administered by administrators. Administrators seem to makeup and change the rules as they go along.

That being said, most of the staff, have been very friendly and helpful at this school. Close Quote

Open Quote This website is a joke and a disgrace! Unless you are involved in a school as a student, faculty, staff, parent and volunteer how can you rate it so low simply by the way it positions itself in test scores? This is one and only a small way to measure a schools success. I have had my oldest son attend Minor since K and he's now in 4th, my youngest is in 1st. My sons are lucky to go to Minor. No test can accurately measure the true growth of a student. I am involved and I can tell you that this school is #1 in the areas that most influence a child's love of learning. Take it from someone who knows- the students here are bright and respectful, they are performing extraordinarily well for their demographics, the teachers are amazing, and the leadership is strong and effective at the same time as being open and welcoming. Your child WILL receive a first rate education at Minor. Close Quote
