Open Quote This school failed my child academically and the bullying was completely out of control. There were physical incidents on a weekly basis. I pulled my children out and have had to pay for tutoring to get my child caught up. She is having to take extra math classes in middle school for struggling students because her class was doing work a full grade level below what they should have been. The PTO was hostile and attacked people who spoke out, preferring PR and trying to keep donors than helping address issues. We didn’t realize HOW BAD things were until we went to a regular public school and saw our children getting quality curriculum and books and not being hit, kicked, and spit on by other students. I think they should close the school down and start over with all new staff to be honest. It’s too far gone. I will be shocked if they keep their charter unless things drastically improve. Open Quote Great school. Focuses on nature and out of the box learning techniques. Teachers and administrators care about the kids and my child enjoys waking up going to school daily. Close Quote

Open Quote The most unprofessional place I have worked in 13 years of teaching in Georgia. I pulled my daughter from the school after she saw teachers crying daily after being repeatedly threatened and emotionally manipulated by administration. The campus was beautiful and the ideals of the school were amazing but the board has ignored the concerns of the 60+ staff members who quit (in less than a year) in favor of supporting the new executive director. Open Quote Do not send your children to this school and under no circumstances should anyone even think of working here. he Executive Director has no professionalism toward teachers and lies to parents. He has changed the focus of the school from nature and agriculture to test focused curriculum. Over 80 of his staff left last year due to his inability to speak to people in a professional manner and hired in the place of competent experienced teachers many individuals who did not even have a teaching degree or background. Teachers are expected to be seen and not heard. He even went as far as to blame teacher turn over on race rather than his own inability to endear individuals to him. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
