Open Quote Strong leadership and amazing teachers make High Point a gem. HP is an International Baccalaureate candidate school offering a foreign language as one of the kids weekly specials. High Point offers 2 recess/movement times for the students. The multi-cultural environment is such a double bonus. My children are learning the curriculum PLUS they are absorbing other cultures and ethnicities in a loving environment. Close Quote

Open Quote My son is in Kindergarten at High Point. I cannot say enough good about this school. His teachers are amazing!! They are kind, bright, wonderful teachers and problem solvers. The guidance counselor is beyond professional and very committed. All the staff has exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this school to anyone. We feel welcome here and like the atmosphere. It has been an extremely positive year. My son skips out of school every day and loves H.P. so much!! What a dedicated group of professionals. They are respectful, positive and helpful in every way. This school is a huge blessing to the community and is a hidden gem. Close Quote

Open Quote Love High Point! My son was in K in 2014 and now in 1st grade. The teachers are amazing and the parents very involved.

There was a redistricting in 2010. Please ignore all demographic and test score data that is not in the past 5 years. I think you'll find that the school is in a very healthy place right now, with significant community involvement and support.

Looking forward to my other children attending also! Close Quote

Open Quote My daughter started High Point in Pre-K in 2006 just when the school was on the cusp of a demographic change. We are amazed and the influx of neighborhood children over the past few years. With the redistricting and neighborhood involvement, the school in 2010 is completely different than 2006.

We have been thrilled with the teachers, administration and parental involvement of all ethnicities. I am proud to walk into the school and see a variety of cute little faces. These children are learning at a very early age about diversity and cultures.

Our daughter is thriving in her advanced math and advanced reading classes and enjoys the TAG program.

Our youngest daughter joined her sister this year as a Pre-K student. She is as proud as she can be to be a High Point Hound. Close Quote

Open Quote High Point is the culmination of liberal group thinking, forced diversity and everything else wrong with America. The school is so far beyond capacity and short on teachers and most all resources. My son went there for Pre-K and was one of only two kids that spoke English in his class. Most of the kids are just “drop-offs” - meaning that their parents just need a place to stick them so they can go to work or whatever they do. The school provides breakfast, lunch and snack for these kids along with all materials. Kids that do have school supplies are forced to put them in a” community pile” which is then divided equally among all the other kids to ensure that other kids do not get offended or get their feelings hurt. I could go on and on… Thanks God we could pay for private school Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
