Open Quote I was a parent of a child who attended CCA for 4 years during my child's elementary years and part of middle school. The teachers have gone way down hill since the beginning of my child's education. We were absolutely in love with the school in the first couple of years, but it went downhill from there. It was quite shocking to me that they would hire some of these ill-prepared teachers. There was an extreme lack of accountability on the teachers' part. The disciplinary approach was horrendous, involving public shaming tactics and quite often extreme aggression and yelling at students which left my child very depressed and anxious. My child started the school with all A's and loving school and left making all F's and struggling academically and emotionally! I dont recommend this school until they raise their standards for those that are supposed to be teaching our children. Close Quote

Open Quote This school is piss poor in customer service. They will say and do everything with a smile to get you through the door. However, the admin and staff are condescending and do not thoroughly communicate with you. They are not supportive at all in special education. They will fight you to resist providing services or to evaluate your child when there is clearly a need. Staff is habitually rude and inappropriate to students and parents. The school will rally for causes to look good in the community but is an unhealthy environment to the students. The fundraising is overwhelming. This charter is nothing but a business. Your child is simply another dollar sign that will fill their seats. Do not waste your time, money and most especially your child's well being. Absolutely despicable. I wouldn't even rate a 1 star if 0 was a choice. Close Quote

Open Quote This place is a joke... They hire uncertified teachers. They don't do anything about bullying. The principal is a total nightmare, he yells at parents, trash talks behind their backs and is totally absent. Corporate won't do anything about him because they want to leave him on the sinking ship to go down with it. Run far from here... Close Quote

Open Quote I am thrilled to have my son enrolled at CCA. We have started our 2nd year there and outside of carpool matters, I have nothing negative to say about the school. I feel very justified in my CHOICE to go Charter. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
