Open Quote This title one school is not all its cracked up to be. Money not well spent that is suppose to be for students it is instead used to beautify the school. Students without teachers for months on end. Classes put into place for students but are not followed through. Spanish class no spanish teacher but a sub instead. Music class but no "real" music unless your in the upper grades. Teachers yelling at students in hallways and doors being slammed by teachers. Teachers and other faculty do talk to people kids any kind of way. I witnessed it as a parent , one student was put on blast in front of classmates as well as myself about his appearance, IM DISGUSTED! Employees sitting at their desk with food and paper work scatterd followed by bad attitudes. Two female security guards one young one older. The older security does her job, the younger security guard fratanizes with teachers students and parents. Carrying on conversation during work hours. I witnessed a student leaving school property while security at desk. Services not being provided to students who are really in need. I have seen many parents withdraw their kids from this school given into defeat due to lack of support from school. At the last PTA parents were informed that the school overall had a low reading percentage. That makes no sense, you have kids as far as the 5th grade and your telling parents this now and requesting extra help from us. Of course as a parent you do your best for your kids. This school in particular does not want to do any work but likes what they can benefit from it. Just to say that there school did it first but I dont see anything. The Principal Dr. Ford was even flustered last year when majority of the students had to take the Georgia Milestones test over. OVERALL SHAME ITS A WASTE OF A SCHOOL WITH THE WRONG LEADERS BUT IT HAS SO MUCH POTENTIAL WITH MANY RESOURCES WITHIN THE COMMUNITY. THEY NEED A TRUE LEADER AND NOT EVERYONE WAS MADE FOR THAT. About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
