Open Quote This school is THE WORST. The parking situation is TERRIBLE. They are all about maintaing the APPEARANCE of being good, but truly, they are not. Honestly, how hard is it to NOT schedule a concert during a major religion's holiday? USE GOOGLE for goodness sake! Perhaps the kids will sing a lone song from said religion, showing exactly how hypocritical this school is and culturally tone deaf. They SAY they support parents of special needs kids... yeah, right. So glad my kid is going to another school. This school is all smoke and mirrors. The administration is awful and the front staff make everyone feel unwelcome. They have the weirdest rules that other schools in the county do not and they honestly seem to be looking out for ways to make things more DIFFICULT for parents. Does anything work right at this school? There are MUCH better schools. The beauty of smoke and mirrors is that eventually, the mask falls and the truth is revealed. Close Quote

Open Quote Poor Leadership needs new Principle and Assistant Principle, they don't know how to take the School to a Successful Level. FCAT scores are horrrible! Any complaints about the Teachers & leadership results in your child "must be a behavior problem", instead of the school being accountable. I volunteered there and the problem is lack of leadership and too many new (89%) Teachers and Teachers who don't know how to Teach, they ruin it for the Few Good Teachers who struggle. Not enough money to but essentials for the students we have and now they are adding Infant care and 1,2,3 & 4 year old classes the cost of setup & supplies etc... and maintaining for these classrooms will be outrageous less money for other students. How will the Teachers and Principle who is having a baby this summer, focus on their Teaching jobs versus their baby down the hall in the nursery? Also it will affect students in their classrooms trying to focus and learn with babies and small children playing , crying etc...next to their classroom. Disappointed and leaving. Close Quote

Open Quote My son is gifted and received work that kept him challenged all year. He loved doing stations, especially in math. Next year he will be in middle school and I like how all the teachers interact with middle schoolers and help keep an eye on them. I feel like my son will be sheltered from a lot of the issues that larger middle schools have. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
