Open Quote This is our first year at the school and we are impressed. Faculty are very interactive, our sons teacher is easy to get a hold of with questions or concerns, and they have a dance component in addition to the normal learning. To add on, the school is a smaller school which equals smaller classes and better teacher student interaction. Close Quote

Open Quote This is by far the best charter school in Pinellas County. It’s a small school offering all the kids the attention that they need. I’m so happy my son goes here and I couldn’t picked a better school for him. He never complains about anything and is always happy to go to school. This is an excellent school. Close Quote

Open Quote ADV is a small school with a great staff and community. The kids are not only learning math and science as they would in most schools. With the large emphasis on the Arts and STEAM , children are getting hands on knowledge of a vast number of areas from dancing to singing to production and tech training. Close Quote

Open Quote Integrating education with arts and technology is a unique approach these days. ADV is a prime example of how progressive methods and a non-traditional approach works! All children learn differently and it's important to offer our children the opportunity to learn using the method(s) that best works for them. ADV does an incredible job with this. I highly recommend this school! Close Quote

Open Quote Our child has recently graduated from ADV. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an excellent elementary and middle school education. The school offers visual arts, dance and music multiple days a week along with the core curriculum. They have a highly active parent group that makes the school great. Testing dipped a few years ago when they expanded to the new site, but a new administration has returned ADV to an "A" school and more importantly one of the best schools in the county. Close Quote

Open Quote Excellent school. very successful from year to another. ADV is an "A"school up to grade 8 now! It's a great charter school with an additional focus on Arts and Dance making it a very unique school. Excellent Principal and assistant principal, they are doing their best every day to take this school to a very special place. Close Quote

Open Quote Académie Da Vinci is a fully rounded school -- with a focus on the arts as well as technology... Pretty uncommon now a days. We love this school, have been here for 2 years (K and 1st) and don't plan on leaving until High School!! Close Quote

Open Quote Great School, great teachers. Don't believe the reviews on these sites about the board ruining the school. A group of parents got together to destroy the reputation of the school after it was moved. Go there and check out the great environment yourself. Close Quote

Open Quote The board of this school has managed to completely destroy it. They fired the best principal they could have ever found and the teacher turn-over is constant now. What was once "A little school with a big heart" is now a big school with no heart. The new principal is the most uncaring, unfriendly, and inexperienced person they could find. They were desperate to find someone and she was the only person they interviewed. Parents are pulling their kids and teachers are leaving or getting fired constantly. We are in tears over the loss of what was once the most coveted school in Pinellas county. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
