Open Quote My kids have been attending ISL for 3 years. They are excelling way above our expectations. Parent involvement and volunteering is integral. We are very happy with the class size-teacher ratio. Close Quote

Open Quote Imagine South Lake has proven to be a much better school for our kids than our zoned public school. The education that our children have received here this year is outstanding. There is a very strong focus on reading and comprehension along with science and math, not just test taking skills or "teaching to the test". There is a true sense of community throughout the school and the teachers are have been wonderful. We are beyond happy with our choice to attend this school. Close Quote

Open Quote DUMP. Steer clear of this mess. The administration is lazy. The office staff is rude and unaccommodating and gossipy. There are a couple of good teachers, but the rest are lazy. The bullying is rampant. The PTO is a MESS. The President of the PTO does not live in Lake County, but rather Orange County with no zone waiver. The cafe is GROSS. The playgrounds are filthy and falling apart. Parents are roaming the halls all day. Kids are randomly roaming the halls. No supervision. This is a nightmare waiting to happen. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
