Open Quote This school is always stating my two boys are in trouble and allowing people of color or different races to bully them. My sons were not raised to be racist and yet this school continues to tip toe around the students of different races allowing them to cause problems to the white students. This has got to stop!! My boys are good kids and just because they're white does not make them any less important. That treatment itself is racist. I'll be spreading the word and rating this school everywhere I can
Be warned if your kid is white he/she will be treated unfairly at this school. Close Quote

Open Quote I have had 2 daughters go through Charles E Bennett and Graduated Clay High. I now have a child who has been here since kindergarten and now in the 6th grade. All the teachers have been great. we all have issues now and then but over all they are great. Mr. Leary was an awesome teacher and glad my son had him last year. I am pushing my son this year and making sure his grade come first. I know that the teachers can only do so much but we as parents do falter in keeping our kids on track with their school/homework putting education first. thanks again to all the teachers and staff at Charles E Bennett Elementary. About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
