As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I live next to Mt. Carbon, and sent my kids to area schools, like Bradley Elementary. I am familiar with Westridge, and have a friend sending his kids there, this week. I have never seen or heard of anything of concern from this elementary, and have noticed, as riding-by that the kids seem well adjusted, and have never seen one "acting up", or cursing. I would conclude that this is one of the best schools in Colorado -- top 7. The costs to the taxpayer is $1,000,000 per classroom. Where does this money go? Much of it to out-of-control Retirement / PERA, and Corrupt Administration at the state level. Spending is out of control with our state budget. And Polis and lefties want to tax and spend us into oblivion, further. $30 billion state budget?????? Close Quote

Open Quote I attended Westridge Elementary and I loved it! Although I attended six years ago, I started volunteering there just in the past few months. Westridge still has great staff, teachers and the playgrounds are very nice. Even with an average of 23 children in a class, the teachers truly know and remember their students. After six years, I still had many teachers recognize me and remember who I was, as well as my family. Another great aspect of the school is their commitment. They are committed to the community and the students, both in their academic and personal lives. Westridge and its staff is the reason that my work ethic is as good as it is and is the reason I enjoy school. They teach you not only facts, but how to learn and how to love learning. My favorite teachers were all teachers who taught at Westridge.
The friends I made there are still close to me today. Overall, it is a wonderful environment to grow up in and the surrounding area is older than some, but still beautiful and safe. I would not have wanted to go anywhere else! Close Quote

Open Quote I believe the school system, and everybody in the chain of command has forgotten about the children. It seems to me like the teachers, and more so the principle at Westridge elementary are too wrapped up in the Drama that kids have amungst themselves.... When did we stop letting kids be kids? Now we want to be smack in the middle of all their dramatic happenings throughout the day? when did the schools stop letting children resolve small disputes between themselves? I think the principle has nothing better to do, be ware, this school is pro-medication for students, makes it easier for the staff to "do their jobs" if your kid is all doped up. I work in corporate america, but the new way of the schools is nothing more than a nazi camp to train all the little corporate butt kissers. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
