As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote When I found this school nestled in the mountains I thought the test scores showed excellence in a small natural community, however Wilmot accepts one narrow mind of thinking, as the demographics show and it if your child does not fit that mold, watch out! Wilmot is all about Money, even the folders are Commercials for parents businesses! If your child is innovative, this is not the school. Sadly it is not about education but about social and economic status at Wilmot. If you like to flaunt and talk about money you'll do fine. If you do not carry the Wilmot Country Club social card, watch your child! Your child will be labelled, judged and misperceived as having disabilities. The school does not inform parents on any placements and you need to observe it with your own eyes or have parents inform you what they are doing to your child. Wilmot is the special needs magnet school of the area so your child will assist their funds and they really try to get these full even when a child does not need the support. The majority of teachers are hyper-sensitive or arrogant (not all but most). The majority of the Wilmot teachers do not listen to the concerns of the parents. When parents question anything, they get upset, offended and the principal begins to try and remove the family to protect his teachers, but you can bring your lawyer with you and you'll be fine! There is a serious problem with lack of communication and cooperation. I now see why the test scores are high, the curriculum is teach to the test 100%, there is no open thinking, no facilitated learning, little hands on, little teacher instruction and a lot of worksheets and tests. The only outside the box or creativity is the Specials, which half are great. The leadership team is a secret group who make decisions to inflate their own egos and secure their own power only. If you want a robot child, Wilmot is the school for you. If you want innovative thinking, higher-order learning and a challenging curriculum, look elsewhere! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
