As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote This school is the least impressive of all schools in the area. The receptionists are rude and interrupt you within 15 seconds of calling. The assistant principal is cocky and invasive in how he promotes and flaunts the school. The teachers are clearly untrained and unprepared on how to respond to questions concerning diversity, equity and inclusion - stating "we deal with those kids well" when referring to neurodiversity and "we are predominantly caucasian" when asked about their ethnic diversity. This is supposed to be our home school and so far, it has reflected nothing but pretentiousness and unqualified individuals who claim to be a community. Although it puts on a nice front on the outside, the inside is emptiness and the most lacking community/family atmosphere I've seen here in Lakewood. I would never send my child to this school. Open Quote My husband and I were skeptical of this school given the rating and state grade; however, decided to test it for a year. We were extremely disappointed with the handling of a bullying situation that surfaced shortly after the school year began. Our child who loved preK became closed off about school and no longer enjoyed it. We approached the Kindergarten teacher who confirmed the bullying was happening. We asked her to keep us abreast of the situation, keep us updated, and received no follow up. We attempted working with the parents of the other child, but they would not spare any time to help the children work out difficulties. When we met with the principal he made it clear he wanted no part in mediating with us and the other parents, even said he did not believe a child in Kindergarten could be a bully, though the teacher along with a substitute had confirmed the behavior. Lastly, the very child who bullied our child, as well as other classmates, was given a 'citizenship' award at the graduation ceremony. We are extremely disappointed and surprised at the negligent mishandling of this situation, especially in light of the problems with bullying escalating in CO as well as around the country. Would not recommend this school. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
