Open Quote This school continues to know every kid by name. For being a Title school, I'm very pleased with the unique one on one attention all the kids receive. My children have been at Allendale since kindergarten and one is in high school now and one currently in 5th grade and we have loved our experience here. Principal Malling and previous Principal Harrington are wonderful and know the children and their needs. Our teachers have been top notch and create a positive learning environment that my children have loved! Instructional coach Mrs. Hernandez is awesome. She has brought teaching to a new level to help guide our teachers in providing the best educational tools to teach our kids. We have art, music, drama, after school activities programs and many more. I must say we had/have great teachers. My kids have always praised all their teachers to be the best, ones that made a big impact on them and our family. The teachers here really care and for some strange reason this is rare these days, many just do their jobs and forgot about the love of teaching and why they wanted to become a teacher, well these teachers didn't. Some our best teachers ever Mrs. Salvucci, Mrs. Sawyer, Mrs. Barnes, Mrs. Smith, and Mrs. Garbee. They truly love our kids and they hire the finest teachers. Thank you for giving our kids such a great start to school life. They will treasure it always - such amazing memories. A safe and happy school and our kids love it. Allendale provides an inspiring environment for children to grow. I am so very proud of what my children are and had achieved at Allendale. Thank you teachers and staffs for all you do! Close Quote

Open Quote This is my son's first year at Allendale and is a 1st grader. He had a rough kindergarten at another school so I switched him. I absolutely love the staff at Allendale and my son has had an amazing 1st grade year to date because of all of the after school programs available to keep the children involved and active. I went in head first getting into the PTA and making sure I could be as involved as much as I wanted which the staff and PTA encourage!!! So glad I chose Allendale for my son. :) Close Quote

Open Quote This school cares about kids. They go out of their way to make sure students get support if they need it and they have fun with kids. I see the principal almost everyday greeting kids as they enter and he holds monthly pep-rally assemblies and parents are invited if their child is getting an award. This school is very small so they get to you your child on many levels. The principal offers school tours and teachers are friendly. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
