Summary

Frontier Charter Academy is a public charter school in Greeley, Colorado, serving 1,426 students in grades K-12. Despite being part of the Greeley School District No. 6, which is ranked 100 out of 115 districts in the state, Frontier Charter Academy stands out as a high-performing school with consistently strong academic outcomes.

Frontier Charter Academy's four-year graduation rates range from 83.1% to 97.4%, significantly outpacing the district and state averages. Compared to nearby schools like University Schools and Timnath Middle-High School, Frontier Charter Academy's academic performance is consistently strong.

However, Frontier Charter Academy does face some challenges, including a higher chronic absenteeism rate and a larger percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch compared to the district and state averages. These factors may be related to the socioeconomic challenges faced by the school's student population. Despite these challenges, Frontier Charter Academy remains a high-performing school within the Greeley School District, offering a quality education to its diverse student body.

Open Quote This was a great school, but already it seems to have its best days behind it. Test scores are dropping, achievements are dwindling, experienced staff is leaving. Hard to know what's to blame: they grew significantly in the last few years (maybe too much?), they have mediocre facilities, and they switched to a 4-day school week for the elementary kids, which can't possibly be good. I'm glad my kids had outgrown the elementary before they made that choice. What a terrible way to teach the importance of a strong work ethic! It's losing what little diversity it had. Their graduates don't bring in the scholarship dollars that other similar schools bring in. Our youngest will graduate this year - and none too soon! Wouldn't choose again. Sorry, school - you aren't being true to your mission. Close Quote
