As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote This school is horrible. There is a culture of violence, racism, bullying and homophobia at this school. The principal, assistant principal and dean are all racist. The school is located in a small good ole boy town mentality bubble, that breeds , support , tolerates , minimizes and provokes racism and homophobia. The students are very violent so there is a subculture of jump mentality, fights being posted to social media and snitches get stitches mob mentality. Racial and homophobic slurs and bullying are a norm amongst students. Discipline is not administered fairly or evenly amongst all students. If you are a student of color , your more likely to get harassed, treated unfairly by staff by way of not believing or taking your side, minimizing offenses committed towards you and giving you harsher consequences than students of non- color. In less than a year my oldest son was suspended for 5 day over a petty non violent offense not involving another person, searched multiple times for drugs, so they racial profile in Riverdale High. My younger son was constantly challenged to fight , called racial and homophobic slurs , suspended twice and had his backpack spat all over on by a young inbred racist pig. All of this seemed to be the norm and well tolerated , even minimized and excused by all school staff. Needless to say I removed my kiddos before the school year even ended and ultimately removed them from the district altogether. These public schools are horrible and not good enough for my kids to attend. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
