Open Quote My son has been at Cordillera since Kindergarten. Right about the time they decided to shut down a lower performing school and bus those kids into Cordillera. Since then the teacher to student ratio has been abysmal. Parent participation is horrible (with a few glaring exceptions! - you know who you are super parents!). You can't fault the staff at the school, the fault falls squarely on the lap of the state of California , the Saddleback Valley Unified School District, and the general lackadaisical attitude of parents of a certain demographic. The school is under staffed, under funded and under supported by the family's that attend. Knowing this we would have certainly chosen a different are to purchase our home. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio
Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
