As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Our daughter was drawn to this school because of the flexible atmosphere and the sense of personal freedom and responsibility. She felt it would be a good fit for her.

As parents, we agreed that there was some appeal to the methods applied at The Met but we were somewhat insecure about the non-traditional approach. We had concerns that if this unfamiliar approach was ineffective that we would have risked our daughters' ability to be accepted to the college of her choosing. In the beginning it felt like a gamble we weren't certain we were willing to take and we didn't know how long we could allow this test.

We agreed to allow her to attend The Met because we felt that Allen was personally interested in and connected to each student. He appeared to be the sort of person we could effectively communicate with and work with to achieve our desired results.

We were right and we are all delighted that we took this path. Our daughter has an internship that she loves and is learning and gaining experience beyond what we imagined. Her advisor, Vince Wolfe is the perfect combination of educator, leader, friend and mentor. Allen Young proved to be everything we expected and more. He is approachable, involved, responsive and effective. He has supported our daughter and every student, as though she were his only student. The personal attention one would hope for but seldom receives. We love The Met. Our daughter is a sophmore and is already scoring very high on her PSAT and other standardized tests. She is excelling in every academic area. She is enthusiastic about school and thoroughly enjoys her studies and the community at school.

For our family, The Met is the best possible choice. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
