As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote We moved back to Poway after living in Spring Valley for a year. The Spring Valley school where my daughter would have gone didn't appeal to me and was very run down and not a place that I liked. Poway is well known for having amazing schools and smaller class sizes. Also, parents are eager to help. Since the start of the school year, my daughter was welcomed and quickly flourished. The teachers are very helpful and do such an amazing job. This school is truly fantastic and I love the smaller class sizes, the fact that it's gated is also great and even the parents make it fun. There are a few annoyances, but with parking and getting to and from the school. 1: kids are in charge of the flow of traffic. I firmly believe that this causes more issues because it seems some of them have no idea what they're doing. 2: Parking in the parking lot for pick-up/drop-off is not really possible. You again get to have kids direct you to a parking "stall" and they open the door for your child and then close it once they get out. It's a fiasco and I get to the school about 15 minutes early to try and avoid the kids directing traffic. Other than that, it's a great school education wise. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
