As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote The Vice principal and staff at Day Creek Intermediate do nothing to stop or prevent bullying at this school. In fact, the Bullies are rewarded, and the victims are treated poorly and unfair. The type of behavior allowed to go on at this school is absurd. There are adolescence taking their own lives everyday due to being bullied by their peers. You would think that the school would shed light on their students and that the faculty would undergo proper training to be able to handle these situations.
This creates a hostile learning environment and does not deter bullies from starting fights in the future because there is NO PUNISHMENT. The school and The Vice Principal Ms. Vander Lann do not follow the California anti-bullying law and the policy of the Etiwanda school district for suspension. I Strongly encourage the California board of education takes note of the school and faculties incompetence and develop a program for suicide prevention. Close Quote

Open Quote Absolutely Awesome school to put any students any kind. All the teachers here at DCIS are super nice and friendly! They will help your child in anyway. The staff is also great here. The PE staff here is awesome! They are always fun to be around! My child loves coming to DCIS each and every morning! They don't say anything bad about this school! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
