As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I was a previous student for the 2016-2017 year and successfully graduated from here! Not only is this school incredibly caring, but the majority of teachers that worked here genuinely worked for the students with the goal of helping us through one of the most important times of our lives. While most students here honestly couldn't care less than they already do, there was always the small handful of students like myself that did care about our futures enough to do our work and do the things we were told. This school is the reason why I was able to walk out with my head held up high, confident enough for the outside world. I even learned up to Algebra 2 due to the incredible teacher Oscar Zagazeta, whom also personally rewarded a math certificate to me at the end of my academic year. Including with this, I was part of a small class that was privileged to be part of a creative writing course, oversaw by a CSU Stanislaus college professor. Every student that completed this course earned two college credits, which carries over to any college we attend. If your student is struggling because Pitman or Turlock High doesn't believe in them much, or if they were like me where we never felt enriched enough in a typical school system, this might be the right place for them. Of course, if you can graduate without going to a continuation school, please try! But if it's one of your only options, Roselawn is a great choice. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
