Open Quote This school is great for curriculum and k-3 teachers the best. The rest of the teachers do not seem to care.
I would give this school an A+ on academics. An F on administration and communication. Larger class sizes than anticipated and represented.
Library teacher is so pleasant and caring with the students. Front office assistant is very nice as well.
After care program is horrible. There is nothing for the kids to do. Close Quote

Open Quote This school is a wonderful school full of academics, caring teachers and administration.Parent involvement is always high and promoted by school admin.Currently they have 3 staff members who are having their kids in the same school they are working which is something giving you confidence in the school.Their facebook site is up to date.Weekly newsletters are coming to your email every Friday. They also have the 7/24 available online school information system which provides access to my child's academics, discipline or reward points which is another awesome service they are providing and many more that i may need to check all about the education of my child. The diversity in this school is also another reason for me to choose SSA Ahwatukee. My child has the opportunity to meet with many different cultures which is a big pluc in my opinion. So overall i give a 5 stars to SSA Ahwatukee. About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
