As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote If I could leave a half of a star for this school, I would. I enrolled my kids in this school because of their professed excelled academic offerings. I took them out of the school after not even finishing one full academic year. It is also extremely expensive if you expect your child to participate in any after school activities or sports, and they do not have a band or orchestra program. And by expensive I mean thousands of dollars. Stick with Gilbert Public Schools. They are much better academically, for extra-curricular activities, and for the social and emotional needs of your child! Close Quote

Open Quote School claims safety is their #1 priority but it most definitely is not me along with 7 other families I know are leaving due to the administrators inability to keep children safe. Also their communication is admittedly poor. Go elsewhere. Close Quote

Open Quote We have been at STLC for two years and have been continually hopeful, but constantly disappointed. We hoped that the school would grow (it has almost doubled) and settle into a nice model with the needs of the students as a priority. That is not the case. The majority of teachers are doing the best they can and truly care about the kids, but the administration is clearly more focused on the business side of running the school rather than nurturing their founding vision. The parent involvement at this school is remarkable and the school would not be at all successful were it not for them. There is no certified school nurse, and the discipline policy is in need of work. Many of the after school clubs are taught by overworked teachers and parents. Promised programs like foreign languages and individualized learning have never truly occurred. We will be taking our children to another school next year. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
