As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote This is the best school I have sent my kids to,the teachers are very caring,my kids are in Mrs. Kurlander's and Mrs.VF and they love to go to school.(great teachers) Our principal is a very good leader. I will miss taking my son there as he moves to sixth grade. The first school they have been to that has such a great peacebuilder program which works. I wish other schools would adopt this program. I feel safe taking my kids there. Keep up the good work Lulu Walker Close Quote

Open Quote The teachers and staff at this school have been exceptional in my experience. They really care about the students, and are more than happy to discuss your child's progress and give any extra help needed for the kids in the class to succeed. My son attended this school during his kindergarten through 5th grade years, and my daughter started kindergarten here this year. Happily, most of the staff and teachers are still there from the time my son attended. Walker is tech savvy, with computers and smartboards in the classrooms, and plenty of opportunites for the kids to use them. There is also a great arts program, with plenty of opportunities for the kids to perform, learn about art and music in weekly classes, and even see the symphony perform. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
