Open Quote This small private school preys upon parents who believe that their kids' education will be related to how much they pay for it. Nothing could be further from the truth. Their class sizes are extremely small, mainly because this school is a deeply unpopular choice for families. Classes this small are now understood to be harmful to the educational process. It's no wonder they're so unpopular. Their teaching expertise is far inferior to that offered by public schools. Their teachers are paid way less than public school teachers and they receive no benefits (why would they choose to teach there? ok--many of them are related to the administrators). They fail to challenge the students, especially in crucial math and sciences, leaving them poorly prepared for later life. They have little or no teaching resources or meaningful music programs (e.g., band, orchestra, chorus) or language programs or gifted programs that are routine in the public school. They believe that they have the option to include or exclude parents from their kids' educational process, depending upon their own personal biases. Money buys a worse educational experience for your child, in the case of MLA! Close Quote

Open Quote My child is a student and MLA and we will continue to support this wonderful school until he finishes the 8th grade, with his brother right behind him. This is a wonderful school, where your child will excel beyond your wildest imagination. Their individualized student plans foster a love for learning and do not teach to the test. Students are treated with compassion and respect, thus treating others the same way. Our family has enjoyed becoming part of the MLA family. It is so important in this world to have a respect for community and the environment. We like being a part of this special place. If you want the very best for your family, take a look at this fabulous school! Close Quote
