Summary

Westview Elementary is a public Pre-K through 5th grade school in Spokane, WA, serving about 328 students within the Spokane School District, and it stands out for achieving strong academic results despite serving a community where many families face economic challenges.

The school has shown remarkable improvement, jumping from a 2-star to a 4-star rating in just a few years, and now performs better than 76% of elementary schools in the state. What's most impressive is how well it supports students from low-income backgrounds, ranking in the top 4% statewide for that group—far outperforming nearby schools like Linwood Elementary and Willard Elementary, which have similar demographics. Westview students excel in science, with proficiency rates significantly above both district and state averages, and the school achieves these outcomes with per-student spending that is efficient compared to some neighbors.

While schools in the neighboring Mead School District, such as Skyline Elementary, have higher overall rankings, they also serve communities with far fewer students in poverty, making Westview's accomplishments notable. Closer to home, Balboa Elementary is a similar success story just half a mile away, though it spends more per student. Westview's story is one of consistent growth and effective teaching, particularly in the upper grades, making it a compelling option for families in the area.

First-hand Documentation of criminal harassment, mob mentality, intimidation, gangland, vandalism, graffiti, littering, burn markings, and a dangerous antisocial environment that is not safe for anybody. Keep your kids and those you care about safe and away from this "school". This is what happens to you if you are minding your own business and you walk down a street associated with this "school".
