As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Completely dissatisfied in this school. I do think the office staff is amazing. The principal teacher and nurse there are highly unprofessional even though all of them have college degrees they act As if they never walked in college doors. Obviously they weren’t taught common sense morals when it comes to parents . Close Quote

Open Quote the morale here is very low. Sadly the staff are not happy so the children are not either. Went to get my child a check out and two members were in a screaming match right in the lobby.

Another occasion a parent and staff member were arguing right at the front door. If your child goes here stop in unannounced! I urge you to listen to your gut! Close Quote

Open Quote Our son attended Hermitage ES from K through 5th grade. Love this school! The principal and all the teachers are committed to each and every student. The majority of the students are military kids and there is a high turnover of students--my son was one of 13 to have been at HES from K-5. The school is very supportive of military families and has staff to help students cope when Mom or Dad are away on deployment. Close Quote

Open Quote I have 2 little ones who go to Hermitage, my oldest is now in 3rd grade while the youngest is in Kindergarten. So far the teachers and staff have been great. We are a military family and my husband was on deployment when the oldest was in kindergarten and 1st Grade and even some of 2nd grade. To have a school that understood the stress my child was going threw and to have a counselor there who specialized in how to help military kids was a life saver. My biggest fear other then my child having a hard time because we had just moved and no sooner did we get thing half unpacked Daddy left and then school started was that I wouldn't be able to help out in class or on field trips. I quickly found that the teachers are very understanding and as long as the younger sibling is well behaved they are welcome to tag along. I was still able to go on field trips and help out in the classroom without a problem and as a parent that was very important to me. The thing I found very sweet was that if the teacher knew the youngest was going to be tagging along they had an extra set of what ever the oldest was going to be doing. They made my youngest feel welcome and right at home to the point when they started Kindergarten it was by Mommy as they ran to the bus. I feel very lucky and grateful that my kids have started school there, they love it and are building a great foundation for years to come. You know a school is doing something right when a child is excited to go to school everyday! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
