Open Quote My child has a learning disability and was constantly being picked on with no consequences for the bullies. Its so bad that I have decided to pull him out of PWSH and will homeschool. While we have given up, Plano West needs to step up and fix the issue. Close Quote

Open Quote Incredible school. Our daughter just graduated and had the best high school experience possible. We have lived in Europe, Massachusetts and Texas. Nothing compares to the Plano system. Plano West has the highest scores in Plano. Plano West academics are top 1% nationally and this is with a diverse population.

The Plano West has many upper middle class families...however there are approximately 15% poverty level. The predominate culture is academic focus. Yes there are many other cultures represented, but by far the dominant focus is college prep, with secondary focus equally spread over arts, athletics and service clubs. Plano West often has a reputation of rich kids.... While there is a small contingent of obvious wealth, it is a minuscule portion rarely displayed to the average student. As a parent, I kept asking "where are the rich kids?".

Our daughter is a studious, non-fad, no make up type of girl. If something is popular, she heads the other way. She was a perfect fit at Plano West. There is a place for everyone in this culture. Overall, this student body is a very mature, hard working and impressive group of young people - the kind that give you hope for the future of our country.

The staff is very strong. The principal is truly exemplary. With more than 2000 students she circulates consistently, sets high expectations and infuses her own passionate school spirit in every endeavor. Staff, parents and students are raving fans.

As with any school, it is not perfect.... our experience was as strong as you could ever expect in this current day.

We are right now delivering our daughter to William & Mary... She is arriving with 40 credit hours already accepted by the college based on AP Test results. And she exhibits strong character, care for others and an excellent perspective on the world.

We are STRONG supporters and have no affiliation with the district other than that of parents... We are very grateful for the influence and impact of Plano West on our daughter. Close Quote
