It is part of the North East Independent School District (NEISD), which is ranked 385 out of 961 districts in the state. However, Eisenhower Middle has consistently been ranked in the bottom half of Texas middle schools, with a 1- or 2-star rating from SchoolDigger.

Academically, Eisenhower Middle underperforms compared to the NEISD district and the state of Texas in STAAR test scores across all grade levels and subject areas. For example, in the 2024-2025 school year, only 44.25% of 8th-grade students at Eisenhower Middle were proficient or better in STAAR Reading, compared to 59.38% for NEISD and 56.39% for Texas. The school also struggles to support the academic achievement of various student subgroups, ranking in the bottom 25% of Texas middle schools for African American, Hispanic, English Language Learner, and Low Socioeconomic Status students. Additionally, Eisenhower Middle has had relatively high dropout rates in recent years, ranging from 0.9% to 2.2%, which are higher than the district and state averages.

However, the school has shown some success in supporting its Gifted and Talented student population, ranking in the top third of Texas middle schools for this subgroup in the 2021-2022 school year. Despite these challenges, Eisenhower Middle's spending per student, ranging from $9,475 to $9,696 over the past few years, is on par with the district and state averages, and its student-teacher ratio is relatively low compared to nearby schools.

Open Quote The principal uses profanity with the children. They don’t care about the kids. Close Quote

Open Quote I would not recommend for students with special needs. This school is a joke. The structure provided by administration does not exist. Go ahead and report bullying, nothing will happen. Let people accuse your child of doing something they didn't do, and if your child is not capable of defending themselves because of their special needs, too bad it’s their word against your child's. I am not the only parent that has had issues with administration at this school. If you have a choice I would look into another school. - K.C Close Quote

Open Quote They have a very strange policy about a student not missing a practice for any reason other than a death in the family. If the student misses or is late they must sit out the next game. This policy doesn't allow the student to be 100% accountable to the practice since the student doesn't always control their ability to get there or the potential circumstances that may be out of their control. There is not consequence for taking a child out of class for a doctors appointment but there is a punishment for missing a practice? This priority is screwed up. I guess sports is more important in Texas than education? At least that's the message they seem to be sending Close Quote
