Summary

Dellview Elementary is a public elementary school in San Antonio, Texas, serving grades PK-5 with a total enrollment of 346 students. It is part of the North East Independent School District (NEISD), which is ranked 385 out of 961 school districts in Texas and has a 3-star rating from SchoolDigger.

Despite its location within the NEISD district, Dellview Elementary consistently underperforms compared to the district and state averages on STAAR tests across all grade levels and subjects. For example, in 2024-2025, only 49.06% of 3rd graders at Dellview were proficient or better in STAAR Reading, compared to 58.67% for NEISD and 52.02% for Texas. Additionally, Dellview has a high percentage of economically disadvantaged students, with 88.44% qualifying for free or reduced-price lunch in the 2023-2024 school year, significantly higher than nearby NEISD schools.

Dellview Elementary has consistently ranked in the bottom half of Texas elementary schools, with a ranking between 2,338 and 3,732 out of around 4,600 schools over the past 10 years. Its SchoolDigger rating has been 1 or 2 stars out of 5 for most of this period. The school also struggles to support certain student subgroups, such as male students, Hispanic students, and special education students, who consistently rank in the bottom half or bottom third of their respective statewide subgroup rankings. While Dellview has shown some success in supporting its gifted and talented student population, the school's overall academic performance and resource allocation suggest a need for a comprehensive review to address the root causes of its underperformance.

Open Quote This school seems to pass students along with very little effort. Since my kids have attended they bring home almost no homework and never do spelling tests. Although the teachers are nice I feel as if this school puts in very little effort in reinforcing their studies at home. Also the principal here is very rude. She always speaks to you in a very condescending tone and is useless when it comes to getting help from her. I absolutely hate dealing with her because you can guarantee nothing will get done. She should be replaced with someone who understands how to treat people and someone who goes the extra mile to address parental concerns. Close Quote

Open Quote this school has racial issues.there are students like that and their staff.it unfortunate that daughter had to be the one to experience this but it was a lesson learned and i suggest any african american parent taking their child to that school to be careful.the principal is useless and her assistant is not as bad but i mean she is not the head boss in charge so shes irrelevant.the principals name is martha stafford and she needs counseling on how to not let her personal feeling interact with a students future.please bewaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeee....
